OUR REVIEW

Blink Outdoor 4 (4th Gen) - Wire-free - Best Security Camera for RV - GRANDGOLDMAN.COM

After using it for about three weeks, I must say that this camera system is almost perfect. It delivers on its promises and is highly reliable, never disconnecting. The image quality is exceptional, especially in night mode where it provides detailed black and white images. I am currently in the trial period for cloud storage, so I cannot comment on the USB-stick operation and limitations.

There are a few minor drawbacks to consider

The auto night mode sometimes fails to activate when it should, particularly if there are brightly lit windows or doors in the video frame. It mistakenly believes there is enough light, resulting in a very dark protected area. While it can be manually switched on, it would be more convenient to have options like enabling night mode based on geolocation or analyzing the video frame for darkness levels. The motion detection can be overly sensitive, detecting even smoke or steam from a gas boiler as "movement".

When using Live View, a "Continue?" prompt appears every 30 seconds. While I understand the reasoning behind this, as the video feeds likely pass through Blink's infrastructure, it can be quite annoying. However, in most cases, I rarely need to watch for more than 30 seconds. Having a one-minute prompt would be preferable.

Overall, I have no major complaints. This Blink Camera system is seamlessly integrated, easy to install, and performs its job effectively.

The solar charging works flawlessly, even on cloudy days, keeping the battery at a high level. 4. VISION WELL Wireless Security Camera: Best Battery Autonomy, 1 to 5 months With One Charge - Best Security Camera for RV - GRANDGOLDMAN.COM

This camera is surprisingly impressive considering its affordable price. As a first-time security camera owner, I found it to be a great basic option. Setting up the camera and downloading the app was a breeze, and the app itself is user-friendly and well-designed. The camera provides clear and high-quality footage, even during nighttime with its excellent night vision capabilities.

I was pleasantly surprised when it alerted me to a raccoon passing by my yard at 3 am, despite not being very close to the camera. I've included pictures of the camera's day and night views. One of the features I appreciate is receiving notifications on my phone whenever there is activity detected.

Although there were a few instances where it recorded and notified me of activity when there was nothing happening in the video, I don't mind as I prefer the motion sensor to be overly sensitive rather than missing anything important.

OUR REVIEW

AOSU 2x Pack: Best Security Cameras for RV without Montly Fees - Best Security Camera for RV - GRANDGOLDMAN.COM

When I was looking for a camera, there were three things that mattered to me: wireless capability, no need for cloud service, and good picture/video quality.

This brand not only meets those requirements but also offers more. The app is incredibly user-friendly, which is a big plus. I had a bad experience with another brand that claimed not to require cloud service but still held my videos hostage and constantly pushed me to purchase their cloud service. Very frustrating.

With these AOSU cameras, I don't have to worry about any of that. It detects motion, allows me to view the videos, and the quality is excellent. The app is easy to navigate, and the setup process was a breeze. If they ever release a screw-in light bulb camera, I'll definitely get one for my mother's house.

OUR REVIEW

MAXIVIZ Security Camera Wireless Outdoor (Battery): Best AI Motion Detection - Best Security Camera for RV - GRANDGOLDMAN.COM

This camera is very responsive compared to others. The motion detection is good, although not perfect. The night vision is also good, and even when turned off, it still provides a decent picture at night. The audio quality from the microphone is good, and the battery life can last a couple of months in high traffic areas and even longer with no traffic.

The flash light is effective, and the app is responsive, although it could use a few improvements. Mounting the camera is easy, and there are two different positions to choose from, which is nice. The build quality looks interesting, and the overall picture quality is good for a Full HD camera.

I didn't notice any difference in picture quality compared to a 2K camera. The camera's viewing angles are also very good. I highly recommend this one, and this review is based on my experience of using the camera for a few months.
