During the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai from April 7 to 9,Bell&Rossorganized a special event to launch theBR-X1 Rs17, a collection of three limited edition high-performance chronographs, to highlight the collaboration with the Renault Soprt Formula One Team as Official Watch Sponsor.
Amy Chu, as Managing Director, North Asia,Bell&Ross, presented the modelBR-X1 Skeleton Chronograph RS17, custom made for the team's two drivers, Jolyon Palmer and Nico Hulkenberg, engraved with their names and bib numbers.
As it could not be otherwise, the three watches in this collection are equipped with the latest technological advances and the most innovative materials. In addition, they feature a design and color code inspired by Formula 1, and especially on the steering wheel of the current Renault RS17 single-seater.
An extreme design
In reality, theBR-X1 RS17could be considered an extreme variation of the BR03, the iconic watchBell&Ross. This new proposal has included the essential elements for a chronograph intended for racing drivers, which make this an extremely sophisticated watch.
They feature a Carbone Forgé case, a skeletonized mechanism whose gears are visible through the gray-tinted sapphire crystal, and rocker-type pushers made of high-tech ceramic and covered in yellow rubber for a better grip.
The bezel has a tachymeter scale designed to calculate running speeds, and the edge of the dial is divided into multi-hour segments, each of which is a different color for quick reading.
The color combination can also be seen in the hands and date, where yellow, red, green and white can be seen. Additionally, the hour hand is coated in SuperLuminova to ensure excellent readability.
Finally, the watch is completed with an innovative rubber strap mixed with carbon fiber for a spectacularly sporty look.
