Blancpain and Dani García, Dani García and Blancpain. Watchmaking, like gastronomy, can be considered a more or less complex skill or, depending on who develops it, an art without excuses.
And it's not just about being more or less gifted: in addition to passion, both disciplines require years of practice and dedication, only in this way can excellence and recognition from experts in the field be achieved.

And this is what they come to tell usBlancpain and Dani Garcíain the fourth edition of the “A 4 Manos” gastronomic conference recently held at the latter's premises in Marbella.
Dani, along with a constellation of colleagues, paid tribute to the Japanese Nobu Matsuhisa, and we had the opportunity to see why both are considered culinary artists. With a menu prepared by four hands, we were able to taste the best of each house, from Dani's yellow gazpacho to Nobu's black cod with miso.

Dani is also a friend ofBlancpain(the brand rejects the expression “ambassador”) because both understand their own abilities as art and recognize it in the other.
The chronograph Bathyscaphe Fifty Fathoms Flyback. What Dani wears in his public appearances also accompanies him in his daily life, as it accompanied him at breakfast, this time hand in hand, which we shared at the Tourbillon Boutique in Puerto Banús.

This new model Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe de Blancpain. It integrates a also new 13-line manufacturing caliber F385 that oscillates at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations/hour.
It has a “return to flight” or flyback function, which with a single action on the pusher located at 4 o'clock stops, resets and restarts the chronograph instantly. On the other hand, the watertight pushers of the chronograph allow it to be used underwater up to 300 meters deep without the risk of water penetrating the watch.
This model also stands out for the presence of a sapphire crystal caseback, which is possible thanks to the use of a silicon hairspring, whose antimagnetic properties make it possible to dispense with the Faraday cage.
Through this glass you can see the evolution of the 18-carat gold oscillating weight covered in NAC (a platinum alloy) and sculpted with the logo of Blancpain. The F385 caliber is made up of 322 parts, of which 32 are rubies, and has a power reserve of 50 hours. Its price: €16,100.
