Powered by a sophisticated Caliber 58-01 manual movement and a power reserve of 44 hours and 40 minutes, theGlashütte Original Senator ChronometerIt features a refined stop-seconds mechanism: when the crown is removed, the hour indicator stops, the seconds hand resets to zero and stays there. Simultaneously, the minute hand moves forward to the next minute index. When the crown is turned to set the time, the hand continues to move to the next minute index thus ensuring the correct relationship between seconds and minutes.
The long, slim, pear-shaped hands slide above the power reserve indicator and small seconds hand. For its part, the dial is inspired by the famous marine chronometers of the past but is combined with contemporary elegance. The result is a new version of this classicGlashütte Original manufacturingwith a newly designed white gold case and the characteristic stylized bezel of the Senator line.
Additionally, this watch features Glashütte Original's signature panoramic date at 3 o'clock, along with a separate day-night indicator. As a clasp, the strap of the Original Senator Chronometer is Louisiana alligator leather in midnight blue, with a white gold folding clasp. An elegant design for a refined mechanism.
