This 2016 Frédérique Constant introduces a new movement that will surprise the most skeptical. The newManufacture Perpetual Calendar by Frédérique Constantopens a new chapter of mechanical perfection with the creation of its first internally manufactured perpetual calendar that will allow us to measure every day of our lives for an entire century. Its design harmonizes the desire of both the nostalgic and the avant-garde, as it is in perfect harmony with the classic canons of watchmaking but updated with the innovative techniques of the 21st century. HeManufacture Perpetual Calendar by Frédérique ConstantIt has been entirely manufactured with robustness, reliability and ease of adjustment. In addition to indicating the minutes, hours, date, day, month and year with four digits, the watch indicates the lunar cycles, a detail that will delight the most romantic.

The in-house manufactured movement found inside this exquisite gadget was entirely designed by Manuel Da Silva Matos, R&D director, and Pim Koeslag, technical director of Frédérique Constant, after two years of research and development, forming a creative tandem that never ceases to surprise us and is reflected in the technical mastery displayed in their watches. These artisans, using the latest technologies and betting on the creation of the most innovative, have made theManufacture Perpetual Calendar by Frédérique Constantstart beating thanks to the innovative FC-775 automatic caliber, responsible for the movement of the hour and minute hands, as well as the perpetual calendar itself.
The FC-775 caliber is only 6.7 mm thick, beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and also has 26 jewels and a power reserve of 38 hours. Integrated buttons on both sides of the case make it easy to adjust the calendar mechanism. On the one hand, it has a button located near 5 o'clock that allows you to advance the lunar phases, while the button located near 8 o'clock is used for the day of the week. On the other hand, the button located at 10 o'clock advances the day and date simultaneously. When setting the perpetual calendar, you must first change the date and then the day. Finally, the button near 11 o'clock shows the month and the leap year at the same time. The hour and minutes can be set with the crown. Once all the elements of theManufacture Perpetual Calendar by Frédérique Constant, this highly sophisticated mechanism will take into account months with 30 and 31 days, February 28 and also the leap year cycle, with February 29 every four years.

The first three models in the range are presented with a very clean and refined dial, in silver or blue, with button-type hour markers matching the color of the case, enhanced by a brown or black alligator strap, presented in a luxurious wooden case. All of them dressed in their best clothes, these three new pieces have a sapphire caseback that allows you to admire the FC-775 movement, with its pearl decoration and circular Côtes de Genève, and a case that is water resistant up to 3 ATM. The calendar is not only a composition of haute horlogerie, but it is also a work of great beauty that, faithfully following the characteristic precepts of the Slimline collection, is housed in a 42 mm rose gold-plated or stainless steel case, depending on the client's preferences.
Being a family business, it was important for Frédérique Constant not to create a simple watch, but a true legacy for future generations at a very attractive price. And although these beautiful models are capable of remaining unscathed by the passage of time and do not require any manual correction for up to 400 years, it is important to remember that theManufacture Perpetual CalendarIt will have to be adjusted on March 1, 2100, a non-leap year, since there is an exception in the Gregorian calendar.
