Rosich Joiers has recently inaugurated (September 2014) its new facilities on Rambla General Vives in Igualada, and for this reason we have visited them so that Pere Rosich can tell us first-hand what it can offer both to its clients on the street and from that immense market that is the Internet.
Unlike many establishments that have survived to this day, the story of Rosich Joiers begins with a watchmaker and not with a jeweler. In 1967, Pere's father opened a repair shop that little by little evolved from a workshop to a store, where in addition to repairing, they began to sell watches and also jewelry. After years, selling becomes the only activity and repair is abandoned.
In 1992, Pere Rosich joined the business, having recently graduated in Gemology, he promoted a jewelry workshop from which he could offer his own creations to an already regular clientele. In 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 they were selected to participate in Novajoia.
Five years later, in 2005, they were selected by FC Barcelona to supply the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Safari and Deva that the football club would give to the first team squad to celebrate the league title won that season.
Finally, and closing the circle, in 2010 a Master Watchmaker was hired to once again offer a watch repair and conservation service, the origin of the family business. They are authorized by Swatch Group at level III for the Hamilton, Certina, CK, Balmain, Tissot and Mido brands and at level II for Omega, although in reality they are prepared for practically all types of brands.
The watch workshop is inside the store itself and in direct contact with it, so it costs nothing to know the status of our watch repair directly from the watchmaker.
The available resources that serve both the watchmaking and jewelry parts deserve a separate comment: from the classic crucible to laser welding, through electrolytic baths and a sandblasting machine.
