The newOris Williams Engine Datewas born as a symbol of the long relationship between the Swiss watchmaker and the premier category of motorsport, theFormula 1. An association that has provided many fruits since, now far away, 2003.
The close collaboration has given rise to a series of sporty, technical and memorable watches that, like theOris Williams Engine Date, offer the power, glamor and commitment to design of theFormula 1in a collection of contemporary watches. This latest jewel, with a brushed and polished steel case like all its predecessors, has its two-piece dial that signals a change in focus. This change is also observed in the indices of the internal scale of the dial, which are now arranged horizontally imitating the instrument panel of theFormula1 Williams, thus eliminating all numbers -except 3 and 9- to give the watch a clean and streamlined appearance.
El Oris Williams Engine DateIt has a skeleton opening in the dial that reveals a part of the anthracite automatic movement, so that the wearer can observe the mechanical machinery of the watch. In addition, a circular perforation carved around the dial enhances the technical feel. The personal touch is added by a central seconds hand in Williams blue, as well as the dial located under the date window at 6 o'clock, making it easy to locate the date by just looking at the watch.
With all this, the designers ofOris Williams Engine Datehave wanted to transform its aesthetics so that the watch seems even more sporty and technical, thus giving a qualitative leap to a collection that reflects the speed, power and technology of theFormula 1.
