The streetwear style makes its way into the select world of culture with the new modelG-SHOCKof Cassius. The new watch, with a limited edition, is placed in the hands of artist Marcelo Burlon, creative director of County of Milan, to turn it into a unique expression of the avant-garde spirit so characteristic of the Milanese designer.
The new creation is filled with colors, textures and original prints inspired by snakeskin. The scales are reflected in the 3D texture of the strap and the black and gray print runs throughout the watch, creating a total look without interruptions. The reptilian design brings dynamism to theG-SHOCKwhich coexists perfectly with the resistance and flexibility of the case and strap materials.
Marcelo Burlon's collaboration with the Japanese brand was forged in 2014 and since then they have worked to bring mechanical and creative perfection to the watches. As the designer declares “it is a pleasure to collaborate with a brand like Casio. We share a constant research and creative renewal, latent in contemporary reality and that goes beyond traditional canons." Likewise, the president of Casio Italia Yusuke Suzuki recalls that "our association with Marcelo Burlon underlines the unique style ofG-SHOCK. “We are delighted to work once again with an artist who expresses our innovative spirit through a reinterpretation of the brand philosophy and constant renewal within the dynamic world of fashion.”
The technological and resistant essence ofG-SHOCKIt has the characteristic functions of the GA-100: a full auto LED display, snooze function, an automatic calendar and a battery that lasts at least two years, among many more. Furthermore, we must not forget that this time machine is the product of an ambitious idea and desire: the creation of an indestructible clock. To this end, Casio engineers have achieved the renowned “triple 10” strategy: impact resistance from 10 meter drops, water resistance up to 10 bars and 10 year battery life. Since the launch in 1983, the Japanese house has not deviated from this concept and continues to refine its technology to increasingly perfect the range of watches, so that its technology remains unchanged and its structure remains invincible.
