When choosing from the catalog of Sinn watches, one of the main doubts that usually arise is whether to choose the watch withcomplete tegimented treatment or not. Some models usually come already with a tegimented bezel and/or case, and offer the possibility, for an additional cost, of obtaining said watch completely tegimented. But what exactly is tegimentation treatment?
This is a special treatment through which the base materials with which the watches are made, such as stainless steel, raise their level of hardness and give the watch greater resistance to scratches and scratches.
Unlike other anti-scratch treatments, the tegimented treatment is not a coating added to the material of the watch, but rather it is the material itself, through an industrial procedure, that is hardened.
When did Tegimented treatment appear?
The first Sinn watch that appeared on the market with a tegimented treatment was the Sinn 756 Duochronograph model, presented at the 2003 Basel fair. Originally this treatment was only carried out on stainless steel, although we can currently find it on watches made with other materials as well.

Which Sinn watches have a tegimented treatment?
If we are interested in choosing a watch with a tegimented treatment, we can choose from more than 50 different Sinn models.
The most common are usually the different collections of Diver watches, specially designed to resist great pressures and higher risk situations. One of the brand's flagship watches, the Sinn U2 watch, comes with the bezel already with a tegimented treatment as standard and offers the possibility of also purchasing the case with this treatment for an additional €200.

Furthermore, if we think that our watch is going to be exposed to great risks, there is a version of this same watch, the Sinn U2 SDR, whose bezel, in addition to the tegimented treatment, comes PVD coated. The union of the coating and PVD offers Sinn watches greater scratch resistance, giving the PVD an extraordinary hardness that also, in combination with the coating, prevents the "peel effect" and significantly reduces the possibility of the paint flaking.
