On May 29, the 5th edition of the Rabat-Omega Tournament was held at the Real Club de Golf El Prat in Barcelona, with a large group of participants who, beyond participating, competed for an attractive prize consisting of a steel Omega Seamaster Aquaterra watch. In addition to the regulars from the golf club itself, some personalities from Barcelona's public life gathered there, such as councilor Xavier Trias.
In the afternoon, the awards ceremony was held at the Rabat Café, located in its boutique at Paseo de Gracia 94, which has privileged views of the interior of La Pedrera. In addition to the Omega watches for the absolute winners, rose gold cufflinks with black diamonds and a white gold bracelet with a riviere of white diamonds were awarded for the best male and female scratch respectively.
Those of us who did not have a handicap or enough time to participate in the tournament were invited to a master class taught by Rubén, one of the Prat teachers, who with infinite patience placed waists, arms and heads in minimally acceptable positions to be able to execute a decent shot. Let no one laugh: if you have never practiced the noble and unpredictable sport of golf, you don't know how unpleasant it can be. One day you play divinely and the next you don't give a performance.
Thus, we collected our prize on the same field in the form of experience (and a wonderful red cap) that brings us a little closer to being able to take part in next year's tournament. It will be for morality.
