The new one is already in storesIWC Ingenieur Collection 2017, presented last March along with two special editions: one to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its alliance with Mercedes-AMG and another in tribute to Fabian Cancellara, the acclaimed Swiss time trialist and double Olympic champion.
The design of this new collection maintains the spirit of the first generation of watches created in the 50s and 60s. Thus, they stand out for their retro feel and for being lighter, more elegant and more classic in their general appearance.

It is a simple and elegant watch with three hands and a date window at 3 o'clock, and is available in three versions:

This model that combines sportiness and elegance also offers three variants:

The fine steel bracelet has been redesigned especially for the Ingenieur and is characterized by great comfort and a fine-adjustment closure integrated into the buckle.
All watches are powered by the IWC-manufactured caliber 69375 with bidirectional trigger winding and a 46-hour power reserve. The movement can be seen from its transparent sapphire crystal caseback.

Limited to 500 pieces, it features a titanium case, black dial, rhodium-plated hands and indexes, and black calfskin strap. Its price: €12,500 (Ref. IW380901)
The IWC-manufactured caliber 89361 with the flyback function combines with the hours and minutes totalizer integrated into a counter at 12 o'clock. The soft iron case protects the movement against the negative influence of magnetic fields. The tachymetric scale allows measuring the average speed of an object over a distance of 1000 meters.

4 Ingenieur Digital Perpetual Calendar Date – Month
This is, without a doubt, the flagship of the new IWC 2017 Ingenieur Collection. Its production is limited to 100 pieces, and it comes with an 18-carat red gold case, silver-colored dial, black hands, black alligator leather strap and a price of €51,800 (Ref. IW381701)
The perpetual calendar indicates the date and month with large figures. It automatically recognizes the different lengths of the months, including the leap year every four years, and can be adjusted comfortably and easily using the crown. The IWC-manufactured caliber 89801 also has a chronograph function.

The launch of this edition celebrates the 50th anniversary of its partner Mercedes-AMG. It is a limited edition of 250 pieces made of Titanium, silver dial, black hands and black calfskin strap. All at the price of €13,200 (Ref. IW380902)
The IWC-manufactured caliber 89361 combines the flyback function with an hours and minutes totalizer integrated into a counter at 12 o'clock. Soft iron inner box that protects against magnetic fields. The lower part of this case is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback inspired by the carbon brake discs typical of AMG cars.

6 Ingenieur Chronograph “Cancellara” Edition
Esta segunda edición Limitada fue lanzada en junio en Berna, como homenaje al ciclista suizo y doble campeón olímpico Fabian Cancellara. Sus características, titanio, esfera plateada, agujas e índices negros y correa de caucho negra, y su coste, 8.250 € (Ref. IW380704)
The decision to limit production to 77 watches was based on Cancellara's favorite number of 7. The IWC-manufactured caliber 69370 generates a power reserve of 46 hours with a bidirectional ratchet. A spoke design that mimics the appearance of a bicycle wheel has been printed on the glass back.
