As usual,Zenith, one of the historic brands of fine watchmaking, launches a new vintage model: the chronographZenith Heritage 146. A modern replica of the iconic watch from the 60s.
The original Heritage on which it is inspired had a caliber 146D with a balance oscillating at 18,000 vibrations/hour and a power reserve of 38 hours.
This reissue retains its retro look and comes equipped with a 254-component column wheel movement. Unlike the old one, its heart now beats at 36,000 vibrations/hour, thanks to its high-speed automatic caliber El Primero 4069, which gives it a power reserve of 100 hours.
The newZenith Heritage 146It is a chronograph with a central seconds hand and a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and also has a tachymeter scale. Its dial with two counters and no date indicator reflects a typical configuration of chronographs of yesteryear.
In this exclusive edition, the high-frequency mechanism is housed in a 38 mm diameter vintage-style steel case, water-resistant to 50 meters, which features a fluted crown and two round pushers. The sapphire crystal caseback incorporates an anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The final touch is provided by a calfskin sports strap with a tropical brown or blue rubber lining, matching the two possible dial models that also feature sunray motifs and rhodium-coated baton-type hands.
