How to make a fan using computer fans, if you have a number of computer fans you can start this original work.
First, for this project 4 fans were used and they work at 12 volts; We must also take into account that there are a variety of sizes. Now knowing that you can build your own ventilation system from those computer parts, let's make it.

Materials
- Wood pallet block
- pallet wood, pine
- aluminum angles
- 12 volt on/off switch
- pc fans
- 12 volt power supply
- pallet wood
- rivets
- cables
- screws
- connection strips
- electrical terminals (optional)
- paint and varnish
- Tesa masking tape for painting

- column drill or drill stand
- 25mm cup drill bit
- wood countersink bits
- 12mm drill bit
- drill
- gag
- riveter
- tin soldering iron
- needle nose pliers
- third arm for welding
- screwdriver
- screwdriver bits
- screwdrivers
- milling machine table
- milling machine or router
- brush
Procedure
#1.
The materials to make the homemade fan are all recycled materials: PC fans, aluminum angles from other works, dowels and pallet wood, 12 volt power supply.

#2.
We place the on/off switch of the fan on the wooden pallet block and mark the place where we like it best.

#3.
We will make a hole, on the opposite side to the one marked in the previous step in the wooden block of pallets, large enough to accommodate the switch and wiring necessary to operate the fans.
To make the hole we can use a cup drill bit and a pillar drill or drill stand.

#4.
We open a hole with a 12-size drill bit to be able to remove the switch, which corresponds to the mark made in point 2.

The fans were placed in a tower shape.

#5.
Also, the angle that I used to make the structure that holds the fans and that we cut in the previous step.
We cut 2 pieces the width of the side of the fan to be able to attach the side angles to the base of the tower and which will be the pallet wood block.
We will make a hole on each side of the angle to be able to attach it, on one side to the wooden block, and on the other side to the angle that will form the structure of the tower.

#6.
PC fans come with 3 cables: yellow, red and black.
We will cut the yellow cable, since we are not going to use it, as close as possible to the fan and insulate it with hot silicone that we will add to the cut cable.
The cables we will use will be the red cable (positive) and the black cable (negative).

#7.
For the fan furthest from the wooden block, we will have to lengthen the cable by soldering a piece of cable.

#8.
After completing the previous step, we begin to place the fans inside the corners to form the tower. Previously we make a hole in the upper part of the plug that will communicate with the slot made.

#9.
We make the connections in the slot or hole made in the plug, using a connection strip, we will join the red cables on one side and the black cables on the other.

#10.
In order to make correct connections with the switch, we will use electricity terminals.
The current that comes from the source (the positive), we take to the positive indicated on the switch and the other terminal of the switch we take to the red wire of the fans.
The black cable from the power supply goes directly to the black cable of the connections made on the power strip.

#11
We can see our on and off switch

And finally, we place the switch in its place inside the wooden block. We are now ready to test that everything works, to do this we connect the 12 volt source to the socket and turn on the switch.
If all the connections are made correctly, the fans should work.

You can cut a piece of wood measuring 14.5 x 13 cm, which will serve to give greater stability to the tower.
We can pass it through the table for the milling machine or router to make a reduction in the wood so that it looks more beautiful.

Ready, you now have your own homemade fan made from computer parts!
