Learn How to Make a Chair from PVC Pipes, you will learn how to build your own PVC chair that can support a real person. To have a solid chair that will properly support a person, it is vital that all measurements are accurate and carefully trimmed so that all dimensions are correct. You'll also learn some basic skills to design your own model before building the chair from the real parts.
This chair is relatively easy to make and took me a day or two to finish, excluding the time it took me to figure out how to build and assemble it.
You can use PVC primer and cement to make it stronger. The seat and backrest are quite comfortable, but you can use fabric instead. I hope you enjoy this tutorial.
#1: Materials

- 2 Elbow Connectors
- 18 T-connectors
- 2 5-way connectors
- 6 4-way connectors
- 6 3-way connectors
- Rule
- Bookmark
- Silicone gun
- PVC pipe bender
- Cushion
- 1 inch (43.25 ft) PVC pipes
#2: Assemble the base

Use 2 pieces of 18-inch PVC pipe and connect a 3-way connector to both sides. Attach a 5-inch piece of PVC pipe to one side of each of the 3-way connectors.
A T-connector to the opposite end of all 4 5 inch PVC pipes. Attach a piece of 2-inch PVC pipe to the opposite end of both T-connectors. Attach a T-connector to both 2-inch connectors.
Use a piece of 5-inch PVC pipe on opposite sides of the T-connectors connected to both 2-inch pieces.
Finally, connect all the pieces using all sides of the 3-way connectors.
#3: Connect the legs

Attach 8 pieces of 18-inch PVC pipe to all the connectors on the base. All legs should face up from the base. There should be no empty slots in any of the connectors on the base.
#4: Assemble the seat

Attach a 3-way connector to 2 of the pins that are parallel to the side it is "at its base" on. Connect 3 T-connectors together with 2 inches of PVC pipe between them. Do this again for the parallel side and connect all the T-connectors together with 6 pieces of 18-inch PVC pipe.
#5: Bend the PVC pipe for the back of the seat

Use a PVC pipe bender to assemble 2 5-inch pieces of PVC pipe at an angle of approximately 20 degrees. Attach these pieces to the T-connectors from the base up.
#6: Assemble the backrest

Connect 6 T-connectors together with 2 inches of PVC pipe between them. Do this again for the parallel side and connect all the T-connectors together with 6 pieces of 18-inch PVC pipe. Use 2 elbow connectors at the top and connect them with 18 inch PVC pipe.
#7: Bend the PVC pipe for the armrests

Use the PVC pipe bender to bend 2 2-foot tubes of PVC pipe. When it is flexible enough, connect the PVC pipe to both T-connectors on the backrest and seat and bend them to connect.
Tip: The armrest makes the entire chair more durable and sturdier. Feel free to use a hot glue gun to strengthen the chair armrest.
#8: Consolidate the entire chair

Once everything is connected, hammer all the pieces of the chair together to ensure the chair stays together.
#9: Add additional support

Feel free to add additional legs to the chair to make the chair more sturdy and durable.
