The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE with Exynos chips are official 2026

Samsung presented its new flip phones at Galaxy Unpacked and in the Flip category we have two models, the Flip7 and the more affordable Flip7 FE.

Both models ship with One UI 8 and Android 16 out of the box, bringing FlexWindow improvements and more.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7: Thinner, more powerful, smarter

Galaxy Z Flip7 comes with significant design and technological upgrades. The new model is just 13.7mm folded and 6.5mm unfolded, and packs a 4,300mAh battery — an improvement over the previous Z Flip6 (14.9/6.9mm, 4,000mAh). The weight remains the same at 188 grams.

The external display is now 4.1″ Super AMOLED (1,048 x 948, 120Hz), with just 1.25 mm bezels, offering the most “bezel-free” experience of any Galaxy. It has Vision Booster, brightness up to 2,600 nits and support for Google Gemini AI and Now Bar directly from FlexWindow. Now, even more apps can run on this screen, with increased customization options.

The internal screen is now 6.9″, with proportions similar to the Galaxy S25+ (68.6 mm wide instead of 70.8 mm).

Samsung managed to make the Z Flip7 thinner by redesigning the internal components and using the new 30% thinner Armor FlexHinge. The external construction uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Armor Aluminum, while the device is IP48 certified for dust and water resistance.

The Flip7 is powered by the new Exynos 2500 (3nm), coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256/512GB of storage. This year there is no Snapdragon version for North America either.

Autonomy has been significantly enhanced, with up to 31 hours of video playback, while 25W wired charging (1-50% in 30 minutes) and wireless charging are supported.

Cameras include a 50MP main (f/1.8, OIS), a 12MP ultrawide and an internal 10MP selfie camera. There's no telephoto lens, but the main camera offers optical-quality 2x zoom. The new HDR 10-bit video recording mode offers 4x richer color than the Z Flip6, while filter previews are now displayed in real-time in the FlexWindow.

With Auto Zoom, FlexWindow automatically keeps the user in the frame, ideal for hands-free shooting. Tripod mode is activated when the device is half-open, and there's also a Zoom Slider for manual control.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE: The most affordable proposition

Samsung introduces an FE (Fan Edition) model in the Z series for the first time: the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE.

The base FE version costs around $200/€200 less than the Flip7 counterpart, but offers 8GB RAM / 128GB storage (compared to the Flip7's 12/256GB)

Even if compared to the 256GB version, the price difference remains at $140/€140.

The Z Flip7 FE is essentially a slightly updated version of the Z Flip6, with the Exynos 2400 (same as the Galaxy S24 series) and the following specifications:
