Panna Cotta Ingredients
- 3 sheets of neutral gelatin
- 180 ml whole milk
- 300 ml heavy whipping cream (minimum 35% fat)
- 35 g white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- Sunflower oil or non-stick spray for the molds (optional)

How to Make Panna Cotta
Soak 3 sheets of neutral gelatin in cold water and let them hydrate for at least 5 minutes, until completely softened.

Meanwhile, place 180 ml of whole milk, 300 ml of heavy whipping cream, 35 grams of white sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste into a saucepan.

Place the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, and check with a cooking thermometer until it reaches approximately 50 ºC (122 ºF). If you don't have a thermometer, the point we're looking for is when the mixture is hot to the touch but not scalding. At this moment, remove the saucepan from the heat.

Now, add the gelatin sheets we had soaking. To do this, squeeze out the excess water well and incorporate them into the cream mixture using a whisk.

Divide the cream mixture into individual molds or ramekins. You can lightly grease them with sunflower oil or non-stick spray to make unmolding easier. You can also serve this dessert directly in small glasses if you prefer not to unmold it. Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours so the panna cottas set completely.

Serve the panna cottas chilled with your favorite accompaniment, such as berries, jam of your choice, or salted caramel.
