Our Helpful review
I recently bought this pull-up bar to jumpstart my home fitness routine, and it's proven to be a worthwhile investment. The bar is robust, easy to install, and versatile, offering a secure grip for various upper body exercises. The assembly process is straightforward, with clear instructions and all necessary tools included.
However, a crucial detail to note before hitting "buy" is ensuring your door frame measurements are compatible. The bar's versatility with different grip positions caters to various muscle groups, but your door frame must meet specific dimensions for proper installation. Double-check the width and depth of your door frame to avoid disappointment upon delivery.
The added benefit of easy removal and storage, without leaving marks or damage on the door frame, makes it ideal for those with limited space or rental concerns. In summary, if your door frame aligns with the product specifications, this pull-up bar is an excellent addition to your home gym, providing durability, versatility, and a solid workout experience. Just remember, the key lies in ensuring your door frame fits the criteria outlined by the manufacturer. Happy pulling!

Our Helpful review
The pull-up bar delivers precisely as promised. It's particularly suitable for anyone seeking a design that doesn't extend beyond the doorway but securely fits within the door frame. Assembly is a breeze, limited to simply fitting it into the door frame.
The cushion wrapped around the bar is of decent quality, suggesting durability against wear and tear. It offers overall good value and proves to be a reliable pull-up bar.
3. TOPOKO Upgrade: Best Budget Pull Up Bar without Screws
Multifunctional Fitness Bar: The TOPOKO Upgrade Pull Up Bar offers a versatile home workout solution, enabling pull-ups, wide-grip push-ups, sit-ups, and more. It facilitates a range of exercises to effectively strengthen the upper body.
Premium Construction: Crafted from heavy-duty steel, this pull-up bar ensures stability and durability. The top square steel features thick foam padding for wall protection. Ergonomic comfort foam on the handle provides a non-slip, wear-resistant grip, preventing damage to the door frame.
Door Frame Protection: With reinforced foam at the top and handles on both sides, the pull-up bar safeguards your door frame from scratches and damage. This thoughtful design enhances the longevity of both the equipment and the door.
Easy Installation and Adjustability: The pull-up bar is easily installable with the provided assembly manual and tool. No drilling is required, and it accommodates standard doorways (23" to 31" width, 4.7" to 7.5" depth). The lever attachment ensures a secure fit without compromising the door's integrity.
Our Helpful review
I didn't expect much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. The tubing is robust steel, the hardware is solid, and the grip material is sturdy. The installation process for mounting it in a doorway is well-conceived, relying on converting the downward force of your body weight into torque, which pushes horizontally on the door frame.
This approach proves to be much safer compared to a friction setup, which has the potential to slip. Additionally, it is more elegant than bolting into the doorframe, as this method might obstruct the door from closing. Notably, it is versatile, allowing for wide or narrow grip push-ups. While theoretically usable for dips and sit-ups, achieving a full range of motion for dips might be challenging, and sit-ups generally don't require a specific device for proper execution.

For trim less than 13/16 inch, a j-hook must be installed.
Our Helpful Review
I bought this YES4ALL pull-up bar as a Christmas gift for my son, who's into working out and wanted to build upper body strength. It's a top-quality bar with all the extras for various upper body workouts, including pull-ups. The construction is solid, ensuring durability.
A standout feature, unrelated to workouts but essential, is the extra-strong padding. It prevents door jams and trim from getting scratched or damaged during use. However, my son did face an issue with the tools provided for assembly—they weren't the best for tightening screws and bolts securely. He ended up using his own tools to complete the job, aside from that, everything else was perfect.

Our Helpful Review
I'd like to start by commenting on the construction of this pull-up bar. I was pretty surprised upon opening it. The quality is significantly better than other pull-up bars I've owned in the past. I appreciate how easy it is to assemble and disassemble without the need for any tools.
I purchased this pull-up bar because my old one caused a crack in my wall where it sat on the lip of the door frame at the top. However, the way this one is constructed allows it to simply rest on the top lip of the door frame without pushing into the wall.
Moreover, the front bar features silicone padding, which undoubtedly helps protect the door frame from the constant pressure during pull-ups. It surpasses the typical foam padding that comes with other pull-up bars. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this to anyone in need of a new pull-up bar that is not too expensive and is worth every penny.
6. JAYFLEX Crossgrips Compact Pull Up Bar Handles: Best for Travel

Our Helpful Review
I'm thrilled with my purchase, primarily using it while traveling to stay active on the go. It fits perfectly in my hotel carry-on, making it a convenient addition to my routine. However, I believe a 2.0 version could enhance the red pieces gripping the door frame by protruding slightly more. As a 160-pound, 5'8" guy, it suits me well, and I'd happily recommend it.
As said, I’m currently staying at a budget hotel with a less-than-ideal door frame, but the Jayflex pull-up crossgrips perform well. While they may seem a tad expensive, their sturdiness allows for versatile workouts like dips and push-ups. Although not immediately intuitive to set up on a door frame, they deliver excellent performance once in place.
The grip is basic, but adding standard foam tube covers can address this issue. My main qualms lie in its somewhat cheap appearance and the rough welding connecting the grips. Despite these cosmetic concerns, I rate it 9.3/10 for its functionality and overall effectiveness in exercising on a trip.
7. IRON AGE Pull-Up Bar for Doorway: Best for Thick door Frames
Compact and Adjustable Design: The IRON AGE Pull Up Bar for Doorway boasts a compact design with a shortened upper bar length of 39.17 inches, perfect for shoulder-width pull-ups. The multiple foldable designs make it an efficient space saver.
Enhanced Smart Hook for Secure Attachment: The pull-up bar features an enhanced smart hook, ensuring a secure attachment to the door frame. This innovative design minimizes the risk of damaging the door frame. The form grip on the upper bar, divided into four small ones with angled ends, provides diverse grip options for effective workouts.
Door-Friendly and Mark-Free: Equipped with premium silicone door protectors, this pull-up bar prevents damage to the door frame, leaving no marks. It offers a convenient and mess-free solution for home workouts.
Versatile Exercise Options: Beyond pull-ups, this versatile equipment supports various exercises, including push-ups and sit-ups. With a reduced distance between the two hooks, it accommodates almost all doors, making it suitable for a wide range of users. The pull-up bar holds up to an impressive 400 lbs (200kg) for robust and reliable performance.
Our Helpful Review
After moving to a new home, I struggled to find a suitable pull-up bar for my thick door frame. The door frame pull-up bar I previously owned was excellent but didn't fit the wider frame. I then tried an inside-the-doorframe bar, but the tightening mechanism was inconveniently placed, limiting my elbow movement.
Finally, I discovered this iron gym pull-up bar that accommodates the door frame's thickness and feels incredibly sturdy. It allows me to position my hands comfortably, and the added cushioning is surprisingly beneficial – I can use the bar without removing my ring. The inclusion of a center ring is a nice touch for hanging a band to warmup.
While I wish for more grip variation like a neutral grip, I think it could compromise the bar’s compactness when folded. Despite this, I would purchase it again for its overall convenience.

Our Helpful review
I am pretty much thrilled with this purchase. Assembly was very easy. The unit is much heftier than my previous doorway chin-up bar. The individual tubes are also thicker than my previous bar.
The unit fits in my doorway perfectly, though, I had to slide one of the resting pads down the tube on the left side to make better contact with the door frame. The unit is a good height and allows me to do my chin-ups and pull-ups with good clearance from the floor. Though, I am 5'9" and, with my reach, I can just grab the bar on my tiptoes.
Because the bar is a little thicker than most cheaper doorway chin-up bars, some people with smaller hands may find grasping the bar a little difficult at first. But, I like the thicker bar because it actually helps me develop a stronger grip. I did purchase a couple of sets of SmartGrepp Weightlifting Grips to help me grasp the bar more securely.
Bottom line...it works well for me. I believe that it's fairly priced, well-made, positions securely in the doorway and offers many more range of motion exercises than the cheaper alternatives.

Our Helpful review
Putting together the bar was straightforward. However, there was an issue with one washer; it was the wrong size, but fortunately, it didn't impact the assembly or the overall product. The final result is a robust piece that easily accommodates the weight of a 6'2", 185-pound male.
It proves versatile, suitable for various exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and setups. However, it's worth noting that the equipment is too small for effective tricep dips. Despite this, I would recommend it and consider purchasing it again.

You have to screw the metal cups into your door frame, but that isn’t very hard. Especially if you have a level and a drill. Use some tape on the back of the cups to stick them to the frame so you can temporarily position them. Install the bar and check that it’s level and that your hands have room above the bar.
Remove the bar and screw in the screws with the tape still behind the cups if you aren’t concerned about the adhesive on your frame. If you are concerned, use a pencil to mark the cup locations.
The bar is heavy and sturdy. The logo on the hand cushions came off immediately, but who cares? The hand cushions wrap around and have a seam that is fastened with Velcro. This wasn’t what I was expecting, especially since the seam is quite large, but it isn’t difficult to position the cushions so the seam isn’t in your way.
And the removable function of the cushions is necessary because they have a non slip coating on the inside - meaning they can only be repositioned by peeling off the Velcro and redoing it. I think the very good non slip feature is worth a large seam.
The build quality seems really good which is the most important thing in my opinion (I weigh 170 lbs).
Bonus: YES4ALL Heavy Dutty: Best Wall Mounted Pull-Up Bar

Durable Powder-Coated Finish: The high-quality powder-coated finish sets this pull-up bar apart, ensuring a non-slip surface that withstands the test of time. Unlike chrome or glossy alternatives, the finish guarantees years of hard use, making it a reliable choice for even the most demanding athletes. Installation is a breeze, and the product comes with a 30-day return policy and a 1-year warranty for added peace of mind.

This pull up bar mount is well worth-it to own. Here are my installation advice, as the package contains no instructions (unless you’re familiar with self installations):
- Package contains eight 3/8 x 2 1/2 inch lag bolts other than the two brackets, the pull up bar and two regular bolts to fasten down the pull up bar.
- What I really recommend to get is a leveler (preferably magnetic) if you want a perfectly balanced pull up bar.
- Another recommendation is a stud finder if putting the mount inside a garage or a room.
- Next best recommendation is to substitute the eight lag bolts for size 3/8 x 4 inch or 5 inch lag bolts. Reason is the bracket itself is one inch thick which covers half of each bolt leaving only one inch of the bolts to latch onto the stud or surface you're installing on.
Note: premake the holes with size 5/16 drill bit for 3/8 lag bolt). Overall, the pull-up bar is extremely sturdy. Holds up really well if you need a big upgrade for personal fitness.
