The clockHEUER-01 Racewas first presented two years ago in Basel and has become the manufacturing chronograph ofTAG Heuerpar excellence. In 2015, this watch marked the beginning of a new collection predestined for success: new design, new caliber HEUER-01 manufactured in-house and new concept of a modular case with 12 different elements with multiple combinations of materials and colors.
The 2017 version ofHEUER-01 RaceIt has been made entirely of matte black ceramic. All parts exposed to friction are made of black ceramic, a material that offers unparalleled scratch resistance. Sandblasting has been used in the finish to achieve a beautiful deep black design. On the technical side, to guarantee complete water resistance to 100 meters, steel is present in all the functional parts of the watch (inner drawer, screwed case back, push buttons, etc.) to allow the joints (of the crystal, case back, pushers and crown tube) to fully fulfill their function.
El HEUER-01 RaceIt has been designed with a distinguished and more contemporary look than ever and, in addition, it is very pleasant to wear thanks to the ceramic strap with H-shaped links and matte finishes. Thanks to the continuous improvements and optimizations that have been carried out for five years, it currently has a very high level of quality and controlled manufacturing costs, which allows it to be the only 45 mm chronograph 100% manufactured with this type of materials.
