The newOris Altimeter Rega Limited Editionwhich went on sale in March, is dedicated to Rega, Switzerland's air rescue service, whose tireless work has saved countless lives since 1952.
Orishas been inspired by the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter, the first automatic pilot's watch with a mechanical altimeter, to create this limited edition, which consists of 1,414 units, a figure that refers to Rega's emergency telephone number in Switzerland.
The equipment of this new model is very technical, as it has an integrated mechanical barometric altimeter and indications of air pressure and altitude in feet and meters. This is a feature that is not usually present in automatic watches.
As a distinctive feature you can see the Rega logo at 9 o'clock on the dial. It has a steel case and clasp coated with anti-reflective gray PVD and a gray textile strap lined with red leather. The image of a Rega helicopter and the serial number are engraved in the background.
