In 2005 thePlanet Ocean collectionfrom the hand of authentic legends of ocean exploration. This original line of dive watches was inspired by pioneers such as William Beebe, Jacques Cousteau and Jacques Mayol. Over the years, this collection has been considered a set of absolutely functional but stylish instruments, both on land and at sea. And in 2016,OMEGAis proud to present the new generation of this famous collection, theSeamaster Planet Ocean Deep Black. This time, masterful craftsmanship has made history with the creation of four extraordinary 45.5 mm watches that combine a GMT and a diving model. A diving piece made entirely of ceramic and capable of withstanding the pressure of the ocean at a depth of 600 m/2000 ft/ 60 bar.
One of the firsts is that the case body of each “Deep Black” model is made of a single ceramic block. Furthermore, in the modelsBlackand in goldSednaTM18 kt, the ceramic cases and dials have been polished, to obtain a shiny effect. The blue and red versions are brushed to achieve a matte effect, which provides even better visibility underwater. A new GMT ring has been fitted to the dial, while the diving scale on the ceramic bezel is made of Liquidmetal® or OMEGA CeragoldTM.

On the blue and red models, these two symbols have been colored by rubber injection.
