4. Due to an injury OP sustained at work due to which she was not allowed to drive, and having no other mode of transport to reach her parents’ home for Christmas, she called her father to ask if he could come to pick her up for Christmas.

5. But she didn’t receive a promising response from her parents as the father only worried about his drinks and the mother got concerned about not being able to exchange gifts.

6. OP got really angry and confronted her parents for not caring about her safety.

OP was NTA. This is terrible behavior being exhibited by her parents. Their daughter was injured and the injury restricted her from going to her parents’ house for Christmas. Instead of worrying about gifts and drinks, the two should’ve driven to OP’s. She would have felt so happy. They could’ve exchanged gifts at her house, and the father could have easily fulfilled his drinking obligations.

Terrible parents, that is what I would like to call them.
