Cool "Floating" Night Lamp with Simple Design and Easy to Make, build a simply designed floating night lamp, which is easy to build and does not require advanced tools.
Materials:
- Sierras
- Clamp
- Drill
- Silicone gun
- Wood glue
- Carpentry square
- Level
- Brush
- 80, 120 and 220 grit sandpapers
- Scissors
Tools:
- 1.5 x 1.5 cm wooden board ~ 210 cm length
- 3 x 3 cm wooden board ~ 60 cm long
- 7W warm white LED filament bulb ~ 700 lumens
- Power outlet
- Power cord with on/off switch
- Painting
- Double-sided adhesive tape
- A4 paper/colored paper/colored folders
Step 1: Pieces you need to cut

Wooden parts:
- 8 Pieces of 1.5 x 1.5 cm x 13 cm
- 3 Pieces of 1.5 x 1.5 cm x 25 cm
- 1 Piece of 1.5 x 1.5 cm x 23 cm
- 4 Pieces 3 x 3 cm x 12 cm
Step 2: Paste the first part

Glue two pieces of 25 cm length with two pieces of 13 cm length. Hold the pieces for 3-5 minutes while using the hair dryer to speed up the glue drying process.
Step 3: Pasting the second part

Glue 23 cm and 25 cm pieces with two 13 cm pieces. Hold the pieces for 3-5 minutes while using the hair dryer to speed up the glue drying process.
Step 4: Gluing the base

Glue four 12cm pieces and press them together. Wait 20 to 24 hours for the wood glue on all pieces to dry completely.
Step 5: Connecting lamp parts

Glue the lamp frame parts with the last four 13cm pieces.
Step 6: Press and wait

Add something heavier to press the four corners of the lamp. Wait 20 to 24 hours for the glue to dry completely.
Step 7: Drilling

Make a hole for the power cord in the back of a lamp (about 23 cm).
Step 8: Sanding

Sand the rough spots and corners first with 80 grit sandpaper and then sand everything with finer 220 grit sandpaper.
Step 9: Mark a point

Mark the gluing point for the lamp frame. The lamp frame should be 3 cm from the edges of the lamp base.
Step 10: Connecting to the base

Add glue to the marked point, place the lamp frame on the base and press it down with something heavier. You should wait 20 to 24 hours for the glue to dry completely.
Step 11: Painting

I am using white water-based paint to paint the lamp. They have almost no bad smell so you can paint inside your house.
Step 12: Wiring

Pass the power cord through the hole and mount the bulb socket. Try it, before the next step. I am using an E27 T210 bulb socket type that plugs into AC power (120-250V) from the wall.
Step 13:Hot gluing

Hot glue around the wire, I couldn't get it out due to an accident.
Step 14: Hot gluing of the lamp holder socket

Place hot glue on the bottom of the bulb socket and quickly press it onto the lamp base.
Step 15: Add more hot glue

Add more hot glue around the bulb socket for a firm bond.
Step 16: Cut pieces of paper

Cut two pieces of double-sided orange paper measuring 12.5 cm x 24 cm. Place double-stick tape on the ends of the paper.
Step 17: Loading Paper

Place the pieces of paper so that they are the same distance from the left and right edges of the lamp.
Step 18: A4 Paper

Add some double stick tape on the A4 paper.
Step 19: Pasting the A4 paper

Stick A4 paper to the back of the lamp.
Step 20: Cutting the legs for the lamp

Attach a double sided tape to any rubber you have and cut four legs for the lamp base.
Step 21: Gluing the legs

Glue the four legs to the base of the lamp. Try to stick as close to the edges of the lamp base as possible for the best stability.
Step 22: Choosing a light bulb

At first I was using a standard 14W bulb, but it was too bright, so I changed it to a 7W warm white filament bulb. It gave rise to more beautiful colors at night.
Step 23: Other materials you could use

If you don't like using paper and want a sturdier material, you can use the back of the binders. They're cheap, have a nice texture, and come in a variety of colors.
Step 24: Complete

Final look and different appearance with other material (paper folders). Greetings!
