Learn how to make your own rubber band mount to hold a GoPro!

This DIY idea is very easy to make and you don't need complicated tools.

Step 1: Materials

• 10″ rubber band (1 pack of 6)
• 12″ rubber band (1 pack of 6)
• ½» 90 degree crossover t-shirt
• 14-20 Hex Nut
• Wing Nut for 1/4-20 Screws/Pack of 2
• #14-20 x 2" Nylon Hex Bolt, Oval Head
• GoPro mounting tripod
• A 5/16″ drill bit
• 1 ¼» Drill Bit
• 7/32″ Drill Bit
• A pair of pliers

First we will make a small hole in the PVC cross shirt using a drill with a small bit,

Step 2: Thicker bands

The two band design is the basic design, but you are not limited to what size PVC pipe you can use initially. You may want to use a larger size cross tube (i.e. 3/4″) or use an extra long band like I did here and hook a smaller one. Remember that you can make your own rubber bands to hold a GoPro with different measurements.
