Chicken Satay Recipe: Thai Skewers with Peanut Sauce

Chicken satay is a beloved Thai-inspired dish built around skewers of marinated chicken served with a rich, creamy peanut sauce. The marinade brings together easy pantry spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander and ginger, so the chicken takes on a warm golden color and a deep savory flavor before it ever hits the pan.

The peanut sauce is just as simple to make at home. It comes together from peanut butter, soy sauce, garlic, milk and a touch of lemon juice, and you can adjust the thickness by adding a little more or less milk until you get exactly the consistency you like.
