What to do with old tires when it's time to replace them? Throw them away? Absolutely not! Instead, let's think about recycling tires for a truly original, almost design-oriented recovery: a tire sofa! The structure is made of plywood panels. One panel is placed horizontally to support the seat; the other, almost vertical, forms the backrest. Under the horizontal panel, we fix four swivel casters. The tires are attached to the panels with self-tapping screws and large washers. The tires are painted with acrylic enamels and finally completed with soft seats made of chipboard discs and foam rubber covered with fabric.
Materials and Preparation

For the construction, you need four reclaimed tires. Wash them thoroughly before treating them with acrylic paint. After creating the main shapes with the plywood panels, cut four circular panels to place on the tires, creating the seats and backrests. Upholster with foam rubber about 10 cm thick. Add an additional covering with black satin fabric. Use a staple gun for fixing. The shape that forms the sofa seat is reinforced underneath with four strips. On these, fix the swivel casters.
