It is a very simple piece of pine wood but it meets all these requirements since through the structuring technique we will achieve a special texture in the wood.
Materials:
- 140x20mm pine wood slats
- 40×30 lag bolts
- Wood glue
- Aerosol varnish
Step 1
We begin by cutting with the jigsaw all the pieces of wood that will make up our headboard.
Step 2
In the legs we make some recesses so that they fit well with the rest of the pieces and to free the skirting board or baseboard from the wall.
Step 3
We use the leftover slats from the recesses to join all the headboard boards together. To do this, we will need the drill and screwdriver and some lag screws as well as white glue.
Step 4
Once the piece is assembled, including the side shelves that will act as a bookcase, we carry out the structuring technique by marking the grooves of the wood grain well with a wire brush.
Step 5
To finish the surface we use fine sandpaper.
Step 6
Next, we apply colorless spray varnish.
Step 7
Once dry we can release this simple, yet practical and functional piece. A headboard full of charm with a special texture.
