Building an Air Purifier for your Room, use a G4 and F7 filter. The F7 HEPA filter is enough to stop spores and dust. This air purifier is designed to clean the air in a large room during allergic periods and bring clean air into the room.
Step 1: Equipment

The fan as chosen from the filter requirements. Filters are rated for a certain amount of airflow and oppose a certain resistance. When they get dirty, the resistance increases as well. The fan is powerful enough to supply air pressure up to the filters maximum rating. You can buy a fan with power but there will be some noise.
The fan is inside a box, creating a depression behind the filters and the exhaust is located on one side.
Step 2: Building the box

The fan is fixed inside a box. It is made with plywood cut to 5 mm. Because the fan is quite heavy and a break for the filters is needed, the bottom of the case is reinforced with pieces of wood. Use wood pulp to fill the interior to prevent any chance of air leaks.
Step 3: Escape

As some foam was used to try to reduce vibrations and noise, it wasn't very easy to cut the exhaust in the right place. In the end a drill was used. It won't be very clean, but it won't be visible.
Step 4: Fixing the fan

Every contact surface of the fan is using foam in a desperate attempt to reduce noise. Because the fan is quite heavy, it was necessary to have two points of contact. A cut piece of wood is used for the exhaust. The bold ones point outwards, we kept them that way because we will be building a muffler for the exhaust and the strands are very useful for fixing this extension later.
Step 5: Sealing the box

To ensure that the low pressure chamber passes through the filter, use a little putty. The electrical cord is also a weak point. Drill a hole smaller than the diameter of the cable and enlarge it slightly with a file. It looks perfect.
Step 6: Electrical Box

The electrical box is glued to the back of the box. Since the fan is not a regulator, use a simple on/off switch. Some Velcro bands are used to repair the electrical cable. Drill some holes in case of heating problems, not the best option.
Step 7: Insert the filter

The H7 filter sits on a wooden square that sits on wooden pieces that also give the case more strength. A rubber band is used to seal windows or doors.
To close the box, a more or less pretty grill has been cut. It offers too much air resistance and needs a real fixation system.
