Building a Curved Concrete Bench, which weighs approximately 150 kg. This project will be a great accessory for the garden or backyard, it is visually attractive and visitors will want to have theirs. Below we tell you how to do this project.

Step 1: List of tools and materials needed for this project
- Carpenter's level (the entire work surface must be properly leveled before starting work)
- Drill (with mixer head)
- Adhesive (Zwaluw High Tack)
- A Formica/HPL covered wooden board (Approximately 60″ x 80″ or 2m x 1.5 m)
- A large amount of wood – Use crosscut miter saw
- Acetone
- 80-140-240 grit sandpaper
- Fine brush
- Concrete sealer
- Some screws
- Work gloves
- Disposable gloves
- Protective glasses
- Dremel tool
- 2 PVC tubes (for the legs)
- 6 mm steel cable
- 20 mm thick polystyrene board
- Clamps
- Steel brush
- Sandbag
- White cement bag
- Bag of fine gravel
- Some old cubes
- Spatula
- Gas burner
- Adhesive tape
- Wheel angle


Step 2: Sketches and calculations
The work plans were prepared and printed using the SOLIDWORKS program.
Step 3: Placing the wooden support


Place the support wood without glue.
Paste only after you have verified the correct position in “dry mode”
Step 4: Reinforcement




Reinforcement finished with screws and a little silicone adhesive
Step 5: Add the Frame and Styrofoam Blocks

Concrete frame is made of hand-twisted 6mm steel wire.
Styrofoam blocks is the "trick" here, making the cut holes on the inside, we will dissolve the styrofoam in acetone in the next steps..
Step 6: Mix the concrete





Start by using a shovel to mix the mixture well, and only use the electric drill for the final mixing.
Step 7: Pour the concrete






Gently pour the concrete into the mold with a small spatula.
Step 8: Placing the PVC pipes






Carefully cut the Styrofoam to a flat level like the concrete and clean the area of concrete debris and place the PVC pipes in the exact locations where the iron structure was protruding.
Secure it with silicone and then pour the concrete inside.
Step 9: Remove the foam




Removing Styrofoam with acetone, WEAR GLOVES.
Also, I poked some holes with a screwdriver in the Styrofoam, resulting in an increase in the etching speed of the acetone.
Step 10: Unscrew






Take off the walls first, removing all odds, ends, screws and so on.
For the legs, he used a dremel disc to start the "pinch point" while heating that point with a torch gun and pulling with pliers until it split.
Step 11: Brushing, sanding and cleaning






After removing all the dirt from the bench.
Pour plenty of water and soak into the concrete during each brushing and polishing process.
It's time to start brushing with a wire brush.
Then with three levels of 80-140-240 grit sandpaper.
Note: The chamfer is made by starting with the sanding drum with dremel and then polished by hand with fine sandpaper.
Step 12: Concrete Sealer

- Impregnation of the bench with 'concrete sealant'.
- Simply use a soft brush to apply over the entire surface.
This step will ensure years of brilliant white color and resistance to rain and dirt

If you have leftover concrete, simply make beautiful rocks for the garden:
- Pour the concrete into a sandbag
- Hit it with a stick to align it
